SILK SHIBORI RIBBON

Silk Shibori Ribbon is a wonderful way to express your creativity and is so luxurious.

The ribbon that I use starts off as a wide Silk ribbon, then I use the Japanese technique of Arashi Shibori to create the pleats and finish up by hand-dying it.

It is always a surprise to see the finished results of the dyed ribbon, as the dye spreads in different directions on the fabric and I don't have control of the finished look of the pleating. What is left behind is a piece of Silk Shibori Ribbon, which makes the little piece of art that you create a one-of-a-kind item.

Add beads and bling to make it your own and then marvel at the comments that people will make about the beautiful project that you've created.
